Worship
Sunday Morning
10:00 a.m. Worship – All Welcome!
You’re Invited to Fellowship Hour in the Fellowship Hall on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month.
Currently we are offering a “hybrid” worship service, which means we provide in-person worship and worship on Zoom at the same time (10am). Those attending in person must follow our COVID-19 protocols or Guidelines for In-Person worship, found here: In Person Worship Guidelines
For the link to Zoom, please send an email request to info@westsidelawrence.org. Read about how our Zoom worship works at this link: How Zoom Worship Works
Our worship services are traditional, yet casual. We sing a variety of hymns and enjoy many music styles; we use the new Presbyterian hymnal Glory to God. Our liturgy is contemporary, yet we also recite ancient creeds and Reformed confessions. In the style of Reformed worship, the scripture readings and sermons that address relevant topics are central to our service. Important to our community life is the time during the service when joys and concerns are shared, followed by the prayers of the people or pastoral prayer.
We believe that worship is “of the people” and “for the glory of God,” with both lay and ordained leading the service. Communion is held the first Sunday of each month and during special services. The table of the Lord’s Supper is open to all and is a joyous celebration of our community. Come and see!
We also offer a bell choir, which periodically plays at services. If you are interested in participating in the bell choir, please contact us at info@westsidelawrence.org.
